Carmilla
Carmilla is biracial, Indigenous herbalist with 17 years of experience in traditional witchcraft. Her herbalism inspires all of the botanical goods at Waxing Crescent.
Mikko
Mikko has been a practicing witch for over 20 years; they combine folk magic with their favorite art forms to conjure potent spellcraft and handmade jewelry alike.
Tricia
Tricia has spent the past decade creating clothing and jewelry by hand, drawn to pieces that feel lived-in, intentional, and a little bit magical. At Waxing Crescent, her work centers on adornment as ritual—things you wear not just for style, but for how they make you feel.
🌙 About Waxing Crescent
Waxing Crescent: Handcrafted Magic was born out of necessity.
Created by three chronically ill and disabled witches, our shop began as a way to care for ourselves when traditional options fell short—too harsh, too inaccessible, too disconnected from the body’s needs. What started as a search for gentler, more intentional care slowly became something more: a practice, a craft, and eventually, a space to share that care with others.
We believe that care should never feel out of reach. It should be slow, adaptable, and rooted in real lived experience.
🌿 Our Philosophy
At Waxing Crescent, everything we create is guided by a few simple truths:
- that nature offers powerful, grounding support
- that small rituals can create meaningful change
- and that rest, softness, and intention are not luxuries—they are necessary
Our work is rooted in herbalism, shaped by the rhythm of the moon, and grounded in the understanding that healing and care are not linear. Like the waxing crescent itself, growth happens gradually, gently, and in its own time.
🐝 Our Craft
We specialize in small-batch herbal teas, botanical cosmetics, and handcrafted jewelry, made with intention from start to finish.
Many of our formulations center around beeswax, chosen for its versatility, natural properties, and connection to the hive—a symbol of care, community, and creation. We pair it with thoughtfully selected botanicals, oils, and materials to create products that nourish, comfort, and adorn.
Handcrafting is at the heart of what we do. Working in small batches allows us to stay close to our ingredients, maintain quality, and ensure that every item is made with care you can feel.
🌙 Why Small-Batch Matters
We don’t rush the process.
Small-batch herbalism allows us to honor the plants, the materials, and the intention behind each creation. It ensures freshness, preserves integrity, and keeps us connected to the work in a way mass production never could.
Every blend, every balm, every piece of jewelry is made with attention—not just to what it is, but to what it’s meant to support.
✨ What We Stand For
Waxing Crescent exists for those who:
- need gentler, more accessible forms of care
- find meaning in ritual, nature, and intention
- move through the world at a different pace—and deserve to be supported in that
We are not here to promise cures or quick fixes.
We are here to offer tools, comforts, and small moments of magic that help you return to yourself.
🔮 An Invitation
Whether you’re brewing a cup of tea, tending to your skin, or choosing something to wear that feels like you, we invite you to move at your own pace.
To rest when you need to.
To grow when you’re ready.
To find magic in the small, quiet moments.
